  2008 Thursday TT Schedule

IMPORTANT: In order to ride with the GVCC you will need to be a member AND have a USCF license. I will be issuing all current members a membership card with barcode number AND a sticker for your bike to use for the WHOLE season. Do not lose this number or throw it away – or you’ll have to buy another for $10. Each week you will need your card OR the sticker on your bike. Please send in your memberships at LEAST one week prior to your first event – there are NO membership signups on nights that we are racing. Our first couple of nights will take a few extra minutes to hand out cards/stickers so please arrive a little early. Thanks for your help – look forward to seeing everyone out!!

Upgrades and GVCC categories:

NO upgrade without Race Director approval.

Upgrade to A considered based on previous season performance. B riders that accumulate 100 points during the season with 60 points from a top 3 placing will be given upgrades.  IF a rider dominates the B group finishes before that, it is the race directors discretion to upgrade them.

All Cat 3 or higher riders cannot ride B – no exceptions.

All cat 4, 5 and unlicensed riders (one day licenses) are B group unless proven in club or USCF race experience and approved by race director as above.

"A" riders that do not accumulate a minimum of 10 points in the road races (that includes primes) during the whole season will be reviewed for possible reassignment to the B group.

Note to all riders: A and B riders may NOT work together in races - especially riders in contention for points. In addition, any lapped riders on road courses may not work together with riders on a different lap. Rules for criteriums differ. Please refer to your USA Cycling handbook.

Please be sure to give your placings to Todd directly after the race. With 10 places and larger fields, it can difficult to track down the correct order of 20 riders.

You must wear a helmet that is ANSI/SNELL approved for TTs as well as ANY GVCC event. With regards to using plastic shells or fairing type shell “helmets”, These will NOT be permitted. If you do NOT have an approved helmet you will not be allowed to start an event. This is for your safety and our insurance in the event of an incident. Thanks to all for complying.
