Thanks to all that came out to race and special
THANK YOU to all the volunteers that made the event
possible. I'd like to extend a big
appreciation to Brian Cardona for his
commitment and work this year again with the towns
and police - and well anything other thing that
needed to be done. A HUGE THANK YOU to The
Full Moon Vista crew and Scott Pagefor
making the event extra special. Few people
realize what Full Moon puts into making these events
a success - from tents, music, and wheel support to
just caring about making cycling here great.
Stop into the shop and let the crew know you
appreciate their efforts and support the shops that
make YOUR racing possible!
We had 179 riders this year, so it was one of our
best attended races. Our P1-3 field was one of
the best depth-wise ever as well - and the
race speed showed it. The women's race was
also one of the best attended and it is great to see
that group growing in number and talent.
With our growth we do have some growing pains though
- that being that cyclists need to be more aware of
traffic on the roads. There were a couple of
instances of riders being discourteous to motorists
or riding unsafely and we need to make sure that it
doesn't continue so that the communities that
welcome us continue to do so.
Thanks again everyone for your help and enthusiasm.
See you on the roads. - TS
NOTE: We experienced some issues with a number of
chips not reading at this year's race. We have
gone over the results and have tried to repair that
damage as best we can. Repaired Cat 5 race
results have been re-posted now. I understand
that there will still be a few errors. If your
number was missed I cannot now place you, but I can
at least put you at the end of the group as having
finished.
Thank for your patience. Our chip service
people are working to find out why some chips
malfunctioned so that future results will again be
quick and accurate for all riders. - TS
