G2 Junior Cyclocross Development
Welcome to the G2 Junior Cyclocross Development Program. The goal of this initiative is to develop a program that enables young athletes to learn and grow in the sport of cycling.
It is GVCC’s next generation…GVCC’s 2-point-0… It is the future.
Cyclocross is the perfect way to introduce young athletes to cycling. All events are held off the road, usually in a park setting, where parents can watch and young riders can be safe. The courses include various obstacles such as sand, barriers, hills that will beFUN challenges for young athletes. The regional cyclocross race season is almost every weekend from September to December. Race days have a festival atmosphere with competition from beginners to international pros! The GVCC Junior Cyclocross Program will give young athletes an opportunity to learn about the sport, develop bike handling skills, prepare to race in regional events, and most importantly have fun!
